This course introduces the reader to the endocannabinoid system, and addresses many aspects of the therapeutic use of cannabinoids, including administration, drug interactions, and the health effects of cannabinoids in various patient populations.

A Nationally Approved CME/CE Medical Marijuana Course is comprised of 5 lessons:

  • Lesson 1: The Endocannabinoid System and Phytocannabinoids.
  • Lesson 2: Marijuana Products, Modes of Administration and Pharmacology
  • Lesson 3: Precautions: The Use of Cannabinoid-based Drugs in Special Patient Populations
  • Lesson 4: Precautions: Cannabinoid-based Drug Metabolism and Potential Cannabinoid-based Drug Interactions
  • Lesson 5: Physiologic and Cognitive Effects of Marijuana


Instructions to Receive Credit 

In order to receive credit, participants must complete all of the course lessons. Participants must also score at least a 70% on each chapter quiz. Upon completion of lessons and quizzes, you must also complete the evaluation form. Your certificate will be available to download upon completion of the evaluation.

Dr. Fisher-Corn is a board-certified physician specializing in anesthesiology, perioperative and pain medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Duke University School of Engineering and a Medical Degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following an anesthesiology residency and fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, she was an attending anesthesiologist at Women and Infants Hospital, Brown University Medical School.

Since 2009, she has served as Editor-in-Chief of The Answer Page, Inc., and has overseen the creation of well over 200 continuing medical education courses in multiple areas of medicine, including Perioperative & Hospital Medicine, and Opioid Prescribing & Risk Management. In addition, she has created more than 20 courses on the endocannabinoid system & the therapeutic use of cannabinoids, including numerous state required courses for The New York State Department of Health, The Florida Medical Association & The Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, The Pennsylvania Department of Health, The Ohio State Medical Association, The Utah Department of Health & Human Resources, The West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources and The Minnesota Department of Health. At the recommendation of Professor Raphael Mechoulam, PhD, her content had been featured in Israel’s National Healthcare Provider Cannabis Program.

CBD in Clinical Care

CBD in Clinical care provides information that will assist clinicians in effectively treating and counseling cannabidiol (CBD) consumers. The physiological effects of CBD, CBD drug interactions, CBD’s side effects, and the conditions for which CBD has been shown by evidence -based clinical studies to be efficacious are all discussed in this course.
