This is the first of three courses of The Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program Required Course Bundle. This course reviews the Medical Marijuana Act of Pennsylvania.
Educational Objectives:
After reading this material, a participant will be able to:
- Explain what is meant by a serious condition under the Medical Marijuana Act of Pennsylvania
- List the forms of medical marijuana allowed under the Medical Marijuana Act of Pennsylvania
- Explain what a physician must do in order to participate in the Pennsylvania medical marijuana program and issue certifications to patients
- Explain the definition of a caregiver according to the Medical Marijuana Act of Pennsylvania
- List the practitioner prohibitions outlined in PA Code Section § 1181a.31.

The Use of CBD in Clinical Care V2 provides information that will assist clinicians in effectively treating and counseling cannabidiol (CBD) consumers. The physiological effects of CBD, CBD drug interactions, CBD’s side effects, and the conditions for which CBD has been shown by evidence -based clinical studies to be efficacious are all discussed in this course.
